New Google Maps - bigger photos, more customization

Google is in the process of releasing a number of new changes to their products. There have been changes to Google plus (larger photos, better use of screen real estate etc. Google Play now has a subscription service similar to Spotify and Pandora.

The latest are changes to Google Maps with more emphasis on customizing the map to the users. For example favorite restaurants or locations. A big change is the presentation of photos. I was pleased to see that some of the photos that I have submitted to Panoramio and other Google sites are now integrated into maps. For example I did a search for Barrett House, Main Street, New Hampshire and noticed that some of my photos of that landmark were integrated into the map.

Like many other Google products, the new version of Maps is being released over a period of time.

Here are some screen shots. The first shows the the approximate New Ipswich Memorial Day parade route, the second demonstrates how photos are presented.
