Ice out at Waterloom Pond

The last couple of days have made me forget about the weeks and weeks of cold weather and record-breaking snow. Lynda and I took an lunchtime walk along River Road  in New Ipswich enjoying the warm sunshine and lack of bugs (for now).

Just a few remnants of ice on Water Loom Pond

Getting a greeting from the Lora's critters

A blue heron waits for his lunch. A 300mm telephoto would have been so nice to have right now. I'll add that to my wish list.

Thes guys are so mellow

Bluegrass Jam - Temple Town Hall

We had a great music jam this last Sunday in Temple, NH. The weather cooperated. A few photos.

Callie picked out a few tunes on her Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer

A new sound for the jam, an electric recorder

One extra valve to accommodate to allow an E note to match a guitar
Some paint job

We sang some classic bluegrass standards

Is it Spring yet?

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You.

Woke to some ice on the trees. It is April 10th after all. Still as a New England native I know it doesn't get going till the end of May. I have some photos to share from this morning. All taken in New Ipswich.

High Bridge will be closed for repairs starting April 2015

After over a hundred years the bridge needs a bit of repair

I suspect they will be adding a gate and this will be the access keypad. Traffic lights have also been added on River Road (Greenville Side)
