During our morning walk we found a page from the Boston Globe dated September 2, 1962. The paper had come from a dumpster that was being used by a crew that was renovating an old house in New Ipswich. It gives a glimpse of two events that I remember well. The Cuban Missle Crisis was a thirteen day standoff from October 14, 1962 to October 28, 1962 when we went "toe to toe with the Russkies".
Also note that the Berlin Wall was still a top news item, something that wouldn't change until 1989.
Can you imagine what it would have been like to have a President Trump (wall) or President Cruz at the time?
Also the 1960s were a great time for radiation thanks to open air and space nuclear tests
