New Boston July 4th Parade

Once again I attended the New Boston Fourth of July parade, a quintessential bit of Americana.  It is a great parade with marching bands, floats, bagpipes fire engines and throngs of flag waving spectators. I  don't have photos of the actual parade, just things that caught my eye.

The parade started at 9 AM but thankfully they didn't depend on this sun dial

I was curious why Solar Up had chosen this vehicle and learned that the military uses solar energy in the field. There will be a Solar Energy Workshop at the Whipple Free Library on July 19, 2016 from 6:30PM  - 8PM

My Nephew and his family were going to ride in this vehicle so I got a chance to climb aboard, impressive instrumentation

A lot of work went into this sign

I never expected that I would have the opportunity to meet the Adams Family, but they were there.
I've learned that clowns love to pose for photos

Clowning Around

Tuning up for the parade. This instrument is much aligned as is the banjo and accordian. I'm a fan.

I learned that this puppy was rescued from a bad situation in Mississippi. She'll enjoy her life in New Boston.

It was a hot day and the folks who owned these chairs had picked a shady area and had plenty of water.

Expect LONG delays, the bridge is being repaired and is restricted to a single lane
